bits of my weekend- volume 12

Can't believe the weekend has already come and gone!
Here are some little bits of my weekend.

Fruit stand right outside my apartment building.
He's open every day until around 2 am, unless the temperature is below freezing.
Please don't hate me.

Holding hands.

We went to the park and I spotted this little family of boys. Loved their balloons.

Do you see the little lighthouse in the background?

I have a thing for flower boxes.

I also have a thing for this guy. He's growing up way too fast.

What did you do this weekend? I'd love to know!

Add your linky here. But, please link directly to your post that is about what you did over the weekend. It's great if you title it "Bits of My Weekend." But you don't have to.

If you merely link to your blog and a random post that has nothing to do with your weekend, I'm afraid I'm going to have to be mean and delete your link. Gasp! Please don't make me do that. But please share your weekend!

Oh holy cow...I am soooo jealous. The thing I miss the most about California (living in Oklahoma now) is the fruit. A fruit stand right outside my door?!?! I'd die (said in my Rachel Zoe voice...)

I'm loving the fruit and vegetable stands. Maybe that should be a blog category -- who's the cheapest, best, has the most variety, the most colors, etc. etc. Thanks for highlighting probably one of the best aspects of the city :)

yep the fresh fruits and veggies less than a block away is definitely a bonus of city living.

When my son and I were in NYC a few years back we would hit the fruit stand outside our friends' apartment EVERY morning for my pint of figs, and then Starbucks. It has been a joke between us since then that fresh figs + coffee + vacation with my son = heaven to me.

Looks like a lovely sunny weekend!

I love the shot of the fruit stand. I actually love all of your photos, but I'm hungry so I seemed to have zeroed in on the photo of food.

Love that you have such easy access to the fruit stand and until 2am!! Wow. I love window boxes too.

i've always wanted a windowbox.

if my own hands were not dirty from planting, they were busily trying to keep a certain one year old's out of the dirt...or better yet, the dirt out of her mouth. so i was unable to snap photo's! fun seeing everyone else's though.

i did however, post about something i did this weekend---not to successfully though!

Where is that fruit grown? Does NYC have the same rule as CA for fruit stands, that it must be grown within 180 miles of where it is sold?

Michelle, they do grow so quickly. (sigh)

And the fruit stand outside your door is a nice bonus. We drive across town for that.

I always love your photos, and your captions are comical.

All of my fun took place during the week and I had nothin' to share for the weekend. Since you have taken over Karen Kool's nazi role (do you remember the nazi rules of blogging?) and will delete me if I post my week as "bits of my weekend" I will refrain....bawhahahahaha! One of these days I will have my camera out for some weekend bliss! Always enjoy your recap.

I was just thinking about how fruit stands are at the top of my list of things I miss most about New York City....

I love the pic of the little boys with the balloons.

And, don't you love having fruit right at the tip of your hands as you walk out of your home?

Wish I had that here in Jersey, but I have to drive 10min to get fruit. Not the same. hehe
