  9. looks like a fun picture. i can't believe the price of the eggs either! I thought produce at the farmer's market was supposed to be cheaper. is most of the stuff expensive or were those eggs just different?

  11. Michelle,
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! I must tell you that I was actually telling a friend about you, your blog, and moving your family to New York City.
This post is a perfect example of what I was explaining to her. You blog about living in the city but from such a different point of view. It's not super-duper high society, nor is it typical tourista. It's a story about a real family doing real things which most of us can actually relate to.
Plus your photography skills are top notch which makes it a pleasure to look at & to read!
Keep up the good work. I can tell your a good mommy too!

  12. Just like New York, I have found the prices at the farmers market in San Francisco's Ferry Building to be quite high. The $10 eggs do not surprise me. However, in SF we can get a whole roasted chicken, right on the spit, for $10.

  13. Okay, I have to comment like everyone else here...seriously, ten dollars for eggs??? That is just crazy. I think I ought to start selling my chicken's eggs in NYC. :)

Great pictures. I love this series...it's fun!

  15. Love it! Great photos!

So, did you buy the eggs? My youngest just saw the Oprah documentary about chickens and meat. She only ate chicken, but now it's down to free range chickens. Trust me, she would die at the thought of eating that hot dog! Poor child is missing so much of the joy of eating! (Thus the model-figure that her mother never had, hehe)
